Centre Based Programs

LA Stars - Leadership and Advocacy Group

LA Stars is a leadership and advocacy program for young people with additional support needs. It is designed to help develop leadership skills and enable young people to take control of their future.

The program builds the ability of participants to:

  • influence the everyday decisions and policies of the Y 
  • have a positive impact on the community.

Small Support Groups

We support families to work, study and rejuvenate by providing essential care in a fun and engaging small group setting.

Activities are tailored to the age group and individual support needs and include: 

  • skill development
  • relaxation and mindfulness
  • fitness and exercise
  • arts and craft
  • games.

Program times: (minimum of 6 hours)

Weekdays: 8 am to 6 pm 

Weekends: 10 am to 4 pm

Age groups: primary, secondary and adult

Cost: NDIS prices apply – 1:1 or 1:3 ratios (contact us for a quote)

Location: Y-Space, Shop 7 41 Miller St, Epping VIC 3076

After School Program

A fun and exciting centre-based program for children aged between 6 and 16 years old with additional support needs.
We help participants gain confidence, develop friendships and overcome anxieties by facing new challenges. Participants gain a broad range of experiences and life skills.

WRAP Basketball Competition

A fun and energetic basketball competition for players with additional needs. The program is an excellent opportunity to create team building and leadership skills with an emphasis on physical health and development. The competition is great for improving core strength and general fitness in a fun way.

When: Saturdays, fortnightly (March to December) 1 pm to 4 pm

Where: Thomastown Recreation and Aquatic Centre (TRAC)

Cost: Registration and fees apply

All Access Gymnastics

Enjoy a group class on the gymnastics floor and develop independence, social skills and coordination while staying active and healthy. Try new skills and activities in a fun, social group setting. 

When: All Access Gymnastics – Tuesday at 4:15 pm, Thursday at 6:15 pm, Saturday at 12:15 pm.

Kinder Access Gymnastics – Thursday at 10:30 am (children 4 and 5 years old)

Where: The Y Leisure City, Epping.

Cost: NDIS-approved provider

Swimming Lessons

Become comfortable and confident in the water and learn important water safety skills. One-on-one classes provide a great learning experience on how to stay safe in the water. 

When: Class times available throughout the week. Contact your preferred centre for times available. 

Where: Thomastown Recreation and Aquatic Centre (TRAC) and The Y Leisure City

Cost: NDIS-approved provider
